Meet our core team

Together we help to ensure that the resettlement of the refugee family is positive and successful – from arrival to independence – by meeting at least once a month.

Each member of our core team leads an area of responsibility, and other volunteers work alongside these leads. For example, education is headed up by Sara, with the support of a number of education and teaching volunteers.

Lead Co-ordinator - Eveline Johnstone

Lead Co-ordinator - Lucy Malt

Eveline and Lucy oversee the work of our core team, and the Westbury Welcome group as a whole. They also represent the group externally.

Safeguarding Lead - Sarah-Jane Marriott

Deputing Safeguarding Lead - Mike Peat

Sarah-Jane and Mike are responsible for safeguarding and ensuring that any safeguarding concerns for the family or volunteers are addressed. They are both supported by Sponsor Refugees.

Housing - Graham Cooper

Graham is responsible for finding accommodation for the family, furnishing the property, organising utilities, arranging the lease and liaising with the landlord.

Administration - Dot Jenner

Dot maintains our database of volunteers, takes care of the agenda and minutes of our core team meetings and distributes updates to our volunteers.

Health - Moira Nicoll and Lesley Russ

Moira and Lesley provide support on health-related issues, acting as an advocate when needed.

Education - Sara Tarling

Sara provides English language classes and conversational English practice for the family.

Finance - Jeremy Colbran

Jeremy manages the group’s finances: setting and monitoring budgets, and also assisting the family in setting up bank accounts.

Volunteer management - Louise Molodynski

Louise organises our volunteers to welcome the family and provide appropriate support for their first few months in their new home.
