Our commitment to safeguarding

Safeguarding

We are committed to providing safe and supportive environments for refugee families and all volunteers involved with Westbury Welcome. We believe that everyone, and specifically those who are in vulnerable circumstances and less able to protect themselves, has the right to be kept safe from harm, exploitation, radicalisation, abuse and neglect.

Our Safeguarding Policy outlines our policy, procedures and guidance on safeguarding. It explains our commitment to, and the procedures we have in place for, safeguarding the refugee family, our volunteers and our community.

As a volunteer, it is essential that you read and understand the document, and that you know how to contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Sarah-Jane Marriott. If you would like a copy of our policy, please email westburywelcome@gmail.com

Complaints

Westbury Welcome views complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve for the future, as well as a chance to put things right for the person or organisation that has made the complaint.

Complaints may come from any person or organisation who has/have a legitimate interest in Westbury Welcome including donors or members of the local community or those receiving support. If you need to make a complaint about Westbury Welcome, please refer to our Complaints Procedure.
